Restore the Memories
*Should the project become unsuccessful or unfeasible, any funds raised will be redirected to the New Castle Public Library’s Cascade Park Trust Fund to support other park enhancements.

The Philadelphia Toboggan Company Carousel Building, constructed in 1922, stands as a testament to early 20th-century amusement architecture and is a vital contributing resource to the historic fabric of the National Register-eligible Cascade Park in New Castle, Pennsylvania. Recognized for its cultural and community significance, the carousel building not only exemplifies the recreational heritage of Western Pennsylvania but also serves as a symbol of community identity and pride.
In 2024, structural failure was identified within the eastern segment of the carousel building, specifically affecting the arched ribs of its distinctive hemispherical conical roof system. This failure jeopardizes both the structural integrity and historical authenticity of the building, necessitating immediate preservation efforts.
