Interested in an Outreach Opportunity?

We’re excited to offer two convenient outreach opportunities for the community: the Lawrence County Federated System Outreach Services (Bookmobile) which brings a wide selection of books directly to your neighborhood, and our Books-by-Mail service, which delivers reading materials right to your doorstep.

Lawrence County Federated System Outreach Services (Bookmobile)

The Lawrence County Federated System Outreach Services Bookmobile is on the road five days a week, 50 weeks a year! With a 240+-mile, three-week route, it serves pre-schools, senior centers, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, housing subdivisions, and the more rural communities of Lawrence County.

The Bookmobile offers a sizeable children's collection of board books, picture books, early readers, chapter books, and elementary and junior fiction and non-fiction. Even young adults can find novels to their liking!

The bookmobile is also ready to serve adults - with collections of Christian fiction, general fiction, westerns, biographies, cookbooks, and other limited (by space) non-fiction. Many of its patrons are of a "senior" variety, so more than 95 percent of the Bookmobile adult books are large print.

All check-outs from the Bookmobile are for a three-week period and are loaned at no charge. Materials may be renewed twice and returned to the Bookmobile or other Lawrence County libraries.

You may also register for a library card.
