Learn to Hem

Learn to Hem! Pull out those pants that are too long to wear and bring them to the library for an introduction to hemming class! Materials provided, just bring your own pants! This one hour class will be an introduction into the slip-stitch, a common stitch used for hemming and other sewing projects. Patrons will be asked to bring in a pair of pants they already own to hem and the rest of the materials will be provided. I will give step-by-step instruction, while utilizing a video on the projector to demonstrate the stitch. At the end of the class patrons will be able to take home a bag with their needle, thread, and pins in order to finish their project.
