Genealogy Club

This program will be recurring on the third Saturday of every month, with the goal of providing patrons with a dedicated time to work on their family history and ask questions of each other and staff, whether they are just beginning their genealogy journey or they are experienced researchers. Each session will be split into two sections: the first will have staff showcasing a different resource that the New Castle Public Library has available, and the second will be free research time.

January 18 will focus on Ancestry Library. We will also show a video from the Butler Public Library's Family History Fridays series to complete the PA Forward requirement of showing a Niche Academy recording.

February 15 will focus on microfilm and the obituary/marriage index, and March 15 will focus on Newspaper Archive.
