About the event

On July 30 at the library, we will be pre-celebrating the end of our summer reading program with our own "Festival of Color." We will first create a communal art project, where we transform a plain, white sheet into a one-of-a-kind piece of art, that was created through the synchronized and spontaneous actions of the young adults of the New Castle Community. We will then engage in a color war, where teens and tweens beam each other with color and throw colors in the air to turn themselves and their environment into rainbow artworks of excitement and delight.

This kaleidoscope mural will be hung in the young adult section of the library to celebrate the young people of our community and reinforce the importance of tolerance and the essential role of the New Castle Public Library in helping create a harmonious community through learning and celebration.
