We did this program last year, so I figured that doing it again would draw a similar audience. We would provide patrons with tote bags that they could individualize using stencils, paint sponges and fabric paint. The stencils would be a mixture of letters and various floral designs. It's likely we have some materials along these lines in the craft room.

This program would be set up in the Copernicus room, with tablecloths on the various workstations to prevent staining. Attendees would be given a paper plate to hold their paint, as well as cup of water to wash their brushes or sponges off. Paint tubes and stencils would be placed on the tables.

Craft programs have always been fairly popular in the library, so I suspect this will draw in a large audience. It gives patrons a chance to personalize something that they can use, such as when they're…
