Summer Reading Program 2023: "All Together Now"

Welcome to the New Castle Public Library’s Summer Reading Program! This year's theme is “All Together Now,” which focuses on kindness, friendship, and unity. The library has related programs throughout the summer for people of all ages. We look forward to bringing the community closer together this summer through storytimes, scavenger hunts, and many more fun, literacy-promoting activities.

This year’s program will have a different structure than what we used previously. Patrons will log their books completed and programs attended using the Google form provided here. For adults, every entry will get them a chance at winning one of three prizes. Teens (ages 12-17) will log the hours they read; for every two hours, they will get an entry to win a prize. Extra entries will be given when teens attend library programs. Children ages 0-5 will get a prize for every 7 books they read, and children 6-11 will get a prize for every two hours that they read. We will have a ceremony on September 2nd, 2023 at noon to award adult and teen prize winners.

The kickoff event will be held on June 10th, 2023 at noon.
