Summer Reading 2022, “Oceans of Possibilities,” is June 1 to Aug. 31

For Early Readers

Explore an Ocean of Possibilities with Beanstack and New Castle Public Library this summer! Log the books you read from June 1 until Aug. 31 to earn badges and rewards. Earn a badge and a prize for every seven books that you read either as a family or alone. Read 28 books and complete 2 activities to finish our Early Reader Summer Club.


The 2022 Summer Library Program is FREE and open to ALL area young people with special programs, prize drawings, story times, reading clubs, and so much more.

For Children

Explore an Ocean of Possibilities with Beanstack and New Castle Public Library this summer! Beginning on June 1 and continuing through Aug. 31, log the time/minutes you read to earn badges and rewards. Complete the book-related activities to increase the fun and earn extra badges.


The 2022 Summer Library Club (Children’s) is FREE and open to ALL area young people with special activities, prize drawings, story times, reading clubs, and much more.

For Teens

Explore an Ocean of Possibilities with Beanstack and New Castle Public Library this summer! Log the minutes, write reviews, and complete challenges and activities to earn badges and rewards. Complete all of the badges for a $10 Barnes & Noble gift card.

For Adults

Explore an Ocean of Possibilities with Beanstack and New Castle Public Library this summer! Sign up and get a free book bag (while supplies last). Every book and audiobook you read from the adult or young adult (YA) collection, from June 1 to Aug. 31, earns 1 ticket. Your receipt is your entry form or you can use Beanstack online. The drawing is on Sept. 1. Winners do not need to be present and will be notified by phone. Enter ticket(s) into the prize drawing of your choice – more than $1,200 in prizes. See the staff at the Circulation desk to sign up and get more information.

How Do I Sign Up for Beanstack Online Summer Reading Program?

  1. Go to https://lawrencecountylibrary.beanstack.org. The library name is under “Lawrence County.”

  2. Click on the blue “Register an Individual or Family” button.

  3. Fill in the information. If you are a parent registering a child, be sure to enter your information under adult information. Beanstack allows families to be linked, so all family members can be accessed with one login.

  4. Once registered, you will be taken to your account page. This is where you will log your readings.

How Do I Log My Readings Online Using Beanstack?

  2. Click on the Books Completed icon.

  3. Select Log Next Book.

  4. Fill out the required information.

  5. Once you earn tickets, you can place them into the prize drawing of your choice under the Ticket Drawings tab.
