Caregiver and Me Classes

Cassandra Cook of Cook Speech Therapy and Rehab will be offering two workshops at the New Castle Public Library this month.

Cook, who is one of the Library's Finest, is a certified speech-language pathologist. She will be conducting two Caregiver and Me classes. The first is 10 to 10:45 a.m. on Feb. 17 and the second is set for 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. on Feb. 22.

The sessions will provide a multi-sensory approach to learning and language through play, socialization, and the connection between caregiver and child. There will be an age-appropriate theme (ages 0-5) in each session.

Registration is required. To register, visit www.ncdlc.org/events or call Carissa at (724) 658-6659, extension 115. There is a fee for these classes, which will support the Library's Finest in their fundraising efforts.

That initiative is designed to recognize and celebrate young leaders who are making a significant impact in our community. The Library's Finest are participating in a friendly competition to raise funds for the library's Elevate campaign.
