New Castle Public Library - Finance Manager
FINANCE MANAGER – NEW CASTLE PUBLIC LIBRARY STAFF (PART-TIME)
20 hours per week. The majority of the position is to manage financial operations, strategies, compliance, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.
Entry $18.00 per hour. A promoted employee will receive the current rate plus $0.25, or the current start rate, whichever is greater. Includes vacation and sick leave. Under the direct supervision of the Library Director.
Duties: As a Finance Manager, your primary duties will involve overseeing and managing financial operations within the organization. You will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and guidelines, and providing accurate financial reporting to senior management. In addition, you will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support informed decision-making. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize resource allocation, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve financial processes. Your exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in financial systems will be crucial in maintaining accurate financial records and conducting periodic audits. Furthermore, you will contribute to the preparation of financial statements and other financial reports. Your ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders will be essential in driving financial performance and promoting transparency within the organization.
Education & Requirements: This position requires a bachelor’s degree or its experiential equivalence, PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA Criminal Background Check, and Fingerprint Check upon employment.

New Castle Public Library - Development Manager
DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – NEW CASTLE PUBLIC LIBRARY STAFF (FULL-TIME)
37.5 hours per week. The majority of the position is leading fundraising efforts at the library, involving but not limited to grant administration, donor management, and foundation relations.
Entry $18.00 per hour. A promoted employee will receive the current rate plus $0.25, or the current start rate, whichever is greater. Includes health benefits, vacation, and sick leave for the employee only.
Duties: The Development Manager will be responsible for the grant administration at the library, donor management, and foundation relations. The position assists with goal setting and campaign organization. An understanding of data management is highly recommended. This manager presents income opportunities to the Library Director and assists in the administration of the opportunity. They will also provide a donations/grant report to the Library Director, monthly.
Education & Requirements: This position recommends 1-3 years of manager experience. This position will be provided continuing education opportunities for donation management and development. A Bachelor's degree or its equivalent is recommended. This position requires PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA Criminal Background, and Fingerprint Check upon employment.

New Castle Public Library - Youth Services Library Worker II
NEW CASTLE PUBLIC LIBRARY UNION POSITION AVAILABLE: YOUTH SERVICES – LIBRARY WORKER II – YOUTH SERVICES DEPARTMENT (PART-TIME).
20 hours per week, including at least 1 evening per week and alternating Saturdays. Entry $10.05 per hour. Includes vacation and sick leave. Under the direct supervision of the Youth Services Manager.
Duties: Reference assistance and readers’ advisory for children, teens, parents, and caregivers. Assists customers with public computers and printing. Physical processing of children’s books and materials. Assists with programming and outreach activities.
Education & Requirements: Experience working with children and teens. High school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, FBI background and Child Abuse Clearances before employment.
