New Castle Public Library is now open by appointment. In order to follow CDC guidelines and to guarantee that you will not have to wait, we ask that you call us at 724-658-6659 to schedule your time of arrival.
We will be scheduling half-hour appointments beginning at 9 a.m.
As of July 6, we have gone back to our regular hours, which are 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. We are closed Sundays.
You will be asked which floor you wish to visit and if you want to use a public computer. Be advised that seating in the building will be limited. All visitors will be asked to wear a mask, except those 2 years or younger, or those with a medical condition that prevents use.
Please enter the library at the North Street entrance and return any borrowed items in the external library material drops.
Sidedoor (curbside) pickup will continue, for those who prefer to not come into the building. Pickup for vulnerable population will be 11 a.m. to noon. All others may pickup items between noon and 7 p.m. Mondays through Thursday and noon to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
You may request specific titles, genres, or formats by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, calling 724-658-6659, or reserving specific titles online at www.ncdlc.org. You will be notified when items are ready for pick up at our east entrance.
