All Aboard the Polar Express! – December 19
Conductor Jim will again be visiting the library on Thursday, December 19 @ 6:00 pm. He will be reading POLAR EXPRESS. Children are invited to wear pajamas and bring a teddy or their favorite stuffed animal. The program is for all ages who believe in the spirit of Christmas. The library will have hot chocolate and cookies.
Please RSVP by December 12 at the Junior Department desk or call 724-658-6659, ext. 106.
Trains, Trains, Trains!
In the Children’s Department, the train display is waiting for children’s imagination and creativity. The track is down. The trains are available at the Junior Department desk. Any child may present their library card and some form of collateral to borrow a ‘train bag’ that will include 3 train pieces. There is a time limit of ½ hour, with the possibility of an additional half hour should no other child be waiting.
Tech Tuesdays will feature 1/2 hour session at 1:00 pm on December 10 and 17, offering instruction for children and adults on navigating and using resources on the library web site. Stop in the Copernicus Room on the 1st floor of the library with your child, grandchild, or even a neighbor’s child to learn what we offer for kids on the web and through our online catalog! Register by calling 724-658-6659, ext. 106.
