Genealogy Site Finder — Comprehensive list of helpful genealogy sites (over 50,000).

Family Finder — A family search via Genealogy.com.

Genealogy Gateway — Provides “daily updates on the newest genealogy sites and data online.”

The USGenWeb Project — Locate genealogical information by location.

Federation of Genealogical Societies (FGS) — Find local societies.

National Genealogical Society — “To serve and grow the genealogical community by providing education and training, fostering increased quality and standards, and promoting access to and preservation of genealogical records.” -Mission.

National Archives and Records Administration — Documents, records, and photographs, including veterans’ service records teachers’ resources.

RootsWeb database — “The primary purpose and function of RootsWeb.com is to connect people so that they can help each other and share genealogical research.”

Historical Society of Pennsylvania — List of startup resources to begin your genealogy search (most which we have in our History Room Collection).

Ancestry.com — (Inside Library Access) The “world’s largest online family history resource.”

HeritageQuest — (Library subscription) A “comprehensive treasury of American genealogical sources—rich in unique primary sources, local and family histories, and finding aids.”
