Pre-school story time is meant for children ages 3-5 who have had more experience in a group setting. They may be more likely to interact with the storyteller. The parent may stay with their child or if the child feels comfortable, the parent may take that time to browse for books.
This story time session is meant to last 30-45 minutes. The librarian may use more than 2 books, and ask and expect more conversation from the children. A short film (less than 10 minutes) will be shown, as well. The child will make a craft and should be able to work more independently to finish it. Please remember that all children are unique and develop at their own pace.
During story hours on April 2 and 3, in celebration of Children’s Book Week, we will feature local children’s author, Joe Sarbo, reading his book Hairy Krishne. No registration is needed.
